Tracy Lyndon

Tracy Lyndon is a licensed pediatric Occupational Therapist and Director of Connected Kids Pediatric Therapy, P.C. and Therapeutic Links, P.C., located in Grayslake, IL.  Tracy has specialized in working with children on the autism spectrum and those with dysfunction of sensory processing, AD(H)D, developmental delays, coordination disorders and related disorders for the past 13 years in a variety of settings.  Tracy is passionate about working with her students and their families as she strives to involve schools and private team members to collaborate about the whole child.   Tracy lives in Antioch, IL with her husband and three children.

Julie Kwasiborski

Julie Kwasiborski is a licensed occupational therapist and has been a part of Therapeutic Links since 2003. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy. Julie's career trainings include MNRI (musgatova neuro-sensory-motor reflex integration), Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome, Myofascial release, NDT, The Alert Program, Handwriting Without Tears and additional pediatric courses focusing on sensory integration, attention, handwriting and body strengthening. Julie is also a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Evaluator and Provider. Her passion is helping children experience and enjoy their true occupation: Play! Julie is pursuing additional training in pediatric aquatic techniques, transition from NICU care as well as becoming an adjunct professor within the field of occupational therapy. Outside of Therapeutic Links, you will find Julie hiking with her dog Remmie, camping with her family, participating in triathlons and playing sand volleyball. 

Emily Kujak

Emily graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's occupational therapy program and has been working in this field for the past 12 years.  Her experience has included in and outpatient care for adults in a hospital setting, school-based treatment for children ranging from 3 years of age through 8th grade, and private services at various pediatric clinics.  Emily has pursued ongoing education in various areas including Early Intervention credentialing; Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI); autism; assistive technology; Handwriting Without Tears program; First Strokes writing program; sensory integration; vision, visual perceptual, and visual-motor skills; executive dysfunction; dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia; Interactive Metronome (IM); Therapeutic Listening; and myofascial techniques.  When she is not at the clinic having fun playing with the kids, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Traveling to both new and familiar places is a favorite hobby.  Emily and her husband are actively involved in Grace Community Bible Church.

Mary Wirth

Mary T. Wirth MS, OTR/L, C/NDT, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1977.  She received her Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1987.   Continuing education is a primary focus of not just her job but her life.  She is certified in Neuro-Developmental treatment (NDT) pediatrics, has training in Myofascial Release (MFR), and Cranial-Sacral therapy (CST).  Her latest pursuit started four years ago and Mary now holds the title of Core Specialist in the Masgutova Method of Neuro-Sensory and Motor Integration (MNRI).   Mary currently works for Therapeutic Links part time,  does Early Intervention, some private clients, and is the occupational therapist for the Fox Lake School district.  Learning is Mary's passion but does not totally consume her. She is married with two children, who both chose occupational therapy as their career.  Other forms of passion include motorcycling (Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe), water skiing at the crack of dawn, downhill skiing, hiking, swimming, Pilates, Yoga, and cooking.

Vicki Schwetschenau

Vicki Schwetschenau is a licensed occupational therapist originally from Lexington, Kentucky.  She went to undergraduate school at University of Georgia and received a masters in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University.  After graduating from OT school, Vicki moved to the Chicago area, which is her husband’s home.  She began her career at Lake Forest Hospital working primarily with adults in the hospital and subacute rehab.  She is currently working in the school setting during the day and at Therapeutic Links in the evenings.  Vicki couldn’t be happier with the change she made from working with adults to children.  Her favorite part of working in pediatrics is first and foremost getting to work with children and making therapy fun for them.  In addition, Vicki loves the challenge that comes with always learning and having to problem solve for each individual child.

Jeanna Wirth

Jeanna Wirth is a licensed occupational therapist currently working with adults in a hospital setting, as well as with pediatrics here at Therapeutic Links.  She graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in recreational therapy.  Jeanna continued her education at Concordia University of Wisconsin and received a Masters in Occupational Therapy.  Jeanna has completed training in MNRI.  Some of Jeanna's specialties are therapeutic riding and special recreation. When not working, Jeanna is active with the outdoors, enjoys playing sports, playing with Ninja (the Great Dane), and eating Mexican food.

Deb D'Amico Schmitz

Deb D'Amico Schmitz is a licensed occupational therapist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Occupational therapy is her second career. She was a lab technician at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the Department of Biological Sciences for 20 years before obtaining her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Concordia University-Wisconsin in 2001. Deb feels that her biology background has been a great asset to her as an OT as she can better help families understand their children's medical issues. Deb is a credentialed provider and evaluator in Early Intervention and continues to work as a private provider. She joined Therapeutic Links in October 2011 and is thrilled to be working with this great group of therapists and families! She really enjoys the challenges of working with older children and looks forward to continuing to learn from them. Deb's specialities include MNRI (Masgutova Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration), Therapeutic Listening, Yoga for the Special Child, CranioSacral Therapy, DIR Floortime and Sensory Integration. Deb continues to reside in Milwaukee although she threatens to move to Illinois at any time.

Lorna Bolton-Horvath

Lorna is a licensed Occupational Therapist working in the school setting for 10 years.  She works with children with multiple diagnoses.  Lorna graduated from Mount Mary College with her Masters in Occupational Therapy.  Lorna enjoys helping children reach their goals in therapy to be successful in their everyday lives.  Lorna is certified in Therapeutic Listening.  She and her husband live in Lindenhurst with their two daughters, a cat, and a dog.

Mayumi Aaberg

Mayumi is a licensed Occupational Therapist who was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in a small town in Wisconsin.  She graduated with a liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1987 and a Master's degree from Rush University of Chicago's Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke's Medical Center in 1996.  After many years of treating adults in a variety of settings, Mayumi began transitioning to pediatrics at preschools and early elementary schools in 2011.  She started working at Therapeutic Links in 2013 and is excited to be working alongside fun, experienced therapists who are committed to learning, sharing the knowledge and experience, and providing excellent and holistic care to children and their families.  Mayumi is a passionate life-long learner with a special interest in prevention and wellness.  She has practiced a variety of forms of traditional tai chi since 1994 and became a certified instructor of Tai Chi Fundamentals (R) in 2011.  When Mayumi is not at the clinic or practicing tai chi, she is cheering on one of her three children in soccer or basketball, gardening, reading about nutrition or wellness, or volunteering in one the the cat rooms at Save-A-Pet.

Kacy Nelson

Kacy Nelson, OTD, MS, OTR/L has been a part of the Therapeutic Links’ team since 2013. She graduated from Mount Mary University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and in 2013 with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree. Kacy continued pursuing scholarship in the occupational therapy field and received her doctorate in occupational therapy with a specialty in pediatrics from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2014. Kacy is also a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Provider. She has experience with school-based therapy, pediatric home health therapy, and pediatric therapy in a clinic based setting. She has training in MNRI, Handwriting Without Tears, Bal-Vis-X, Social Thinking, and other courses specialized towards pediatric therapy including sensory integration, executive functioning, attention, and development. She is a board member for a non-profit organization that she helped co-found which was created to support children in Haiti. She has completed mission therapy trips and has future plans of continuing to pursue this volunteer opportunity. Outside of her therapy world, Kacy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, coaching at her home ice rink, and traveling.

Danielle Donohoe

Danielle is a licensed Occupational Therapist with five years of experience in pediatrics.  She graduated from Rush University Medical Center with a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Prior to becoming a therapist, Danielle worked as a preschool teacher and assistant director for five years.  Her experiences include school and home-based therapy and working with multiple diagnoses including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, ADHD, cognitive disabilities and Sensory Processing Disorder.  Danielle has extensive training in the use of assistive technology. She is also certified in Therapeutic Listening.  Danielle and her family live in Richmond, Illinois.

Adam Nikkel

Adam Nikkel is a licensed Occupational Therapist and has been part of Therapeutic Links since March, 2014.  He also works at a Therapeutic Day School.  He graduated from The University of Iowa with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and leisure studies with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation.  Adam then graduated from Midwestern University with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.  Adam’s career trainings include MNRI (Musgatova neuro-sensory-motor reflex integration), Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears, and the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS).  Adam is working towards being a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Provider.  His true passion is helping children be as independent as possible.  Outside of Therapeutic Links, you will find Adam playing golf, spending time with his wife and dog, Cooper, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.  

Ariel Pontikes

Ariel is a licensed occupational therapist who graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her B.S. in Psychology and from the University of Illinois at Chicago with her M.S. in Occupational Therapy. In addition to working at Therapeutic Links, she will be spending one day a week as an elementary/middle school OT. Ariel has experience in a variety of populations, from infants to older adults, but her true passion resides with the pediatric population! She has training in MNRI, Zones of Regulation, and assistive technology. In her free time, Ariel enjoys playing ice hockey on a women's and men's team, golfing, or spending time with her family. Ariel currently resides in Lake Bluff, IL.

Stephanie Eickelberg

Stephanie graduated from Saint Louis University with a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience in both the geriatric and pediatric population in a variety of settings, but her heart lies with pediatrics. As an older sister of a brother with disabilities, Stephanie strives to help support families along their journey through meaningful occupations! Outside of Therapeutic Links, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as outdoor activities including running, hiking, rollerblading, biking, kyaking and yoga.

Brenna Buckner

Brenna is a licensed occupational therapist who was born and raised in Lake County. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and a Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Brenna credits her experience as a gymnastics instructor for sparking her initial interest in pediatrics; she coached for Special Olympics and has taught developmental gymnastics classes for children aged 18 months to 12 years. Brenna believes in low-stress and family-centered therapy to promote positive changes and skill growth. She is interested in sensory integration, fine and gross motor development, mental health, as well as state and national advocacy efforts for children and adults with disabilities. In her spare time, Brenna enjoys yoga, listening to music, reading, DIY projects, and cheering for her beloved Wisconsin Badgers.

Nelly Staines

​​Nelly Staines has been an adult Occupational Therapist since 1999. Her experience includes adult therapy in acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, and long- term hospital settings, home health, outpatient therapy, and outpatient hand clinic. Nelly has served as a hand therapy consultant, orthopedic clinical specialist, and ergonomic consultant. Nelly has extensive experience in hand therapy, shoulder rehabilitation, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She also has experience in working with adults with medical and neurological diagnoses.  She has completed in-depth training on various manual therapy techniques, including myofascial release, nerve mobilizations, joint mobilizations, and muscle energy. In addition, Nelly has experience in kinesiotaping, rigid taping, orthotic bracing, and splinting. Nelly is excited to join this dynamic team and work with adult clients at Therapeutic Links. Nelly lives with her husband and son in the south suburbs of Chicago. She enjoys spending time with family and loved ones. Nelly also enjoys spending time relaxing on the beach during the summertime, which is her favorite time of year. 

Sharon Silverberg

Sharon graduated from Indiana University and has taken courses in Health Information Technology at The College of Lake County.  She has been working at Therapeutic Links since 2005, with an emphasis on medical billing.  As a fellow parent of a child who attended therapy, Sharon hopes to alleviate some of the parent’s stress by helping navigate the medical insurance world.  When not in the office Sharon can be found watching her favorite bands, The Grayslake North Marching Knights and The Pride of University of Minnesota Marching Band.  Sharon lives in Grayslake, IL with her husband and two teenage sons.

Holly Brama

Holly graduated from Eastern Michigan University.  Before joining the Therapeutic Links team in 2015, she worked at an Elementary School as a para-professional.  In her spare time, Holly can be found at the hockey rink cheering on her daughters.  Holly lives in Lake Villa with her husband and two daughters.
